This 16th century medieval luxury home comprises of a series of adjoining medieval towers in the heart of the Umbrian hills with stunning views. The sumptuous haven sleeps up to ten people with all modern amenities and a beautiful green marbled pool.
There are two distinct outside spaces:

The secret walled Garden & Pool Area (6m x 3m) with loungers and sun umbrellas
The Large 60 square metre Terrace is accessed from the house via two sets of double doors south-facing with astonishing vistas. It is ideal for breakfast and dinner and includes Contemporary comfortable seating and parasols along with shade and privacy with subtle bamboo planting. Both boast magnificent views across the valley and Umbrian mountains. There are 5 double bedrooms including 4 en-suits which can accommodate up to 10 people.

There is a luxurious Four Poster Bedroom Suit and 2 double bedrooms with 2 single beds and featuring an antique marble sink and a large bathroom. The Kokeshi Suit has an open plan configuration with separate sleeping area for king size bed plus en-suit with a large glamorous separate lobby / dressing room. The floors are connected by an impressive large, Central stone staircase; which is an architectural jewel in itself with its original stone floors and iron Staircase, quite apart from the six meters stunning Spina centrepiece light sculpture cascading through the stairwell. The house encompasses 4 floors in total, 2 floors are dedicated to bedrooms whilst 2 floors are for entertaining, (dining, breakfast, kitchen, study, TV room, lounges as well as its own library).

Adjacent to the medieval walled garden that houses the green marbled pool, lies a large lawned area with its own stunning medieval well. This is connected by a pretty landscaped butterfly garden full of wild flowers & shrubs. This secluded & hidden gem has gorgeous views extending as far as Assisi in the far distance. Suitable for a fabulous dinner party or special celebration the additional area adds another magical element to the already breath-taking house in all its medieval grandeur. The ancient well here is said to have been responsible for supplying the water that built most of this exquisite village & ancient walls. A truly wonderful space lovingly restored to add extra luxurious space to La Taverna Al Monte.

The old palazzo originally formed the protective walls of this unique hamlet atop a 700m high hill. The village of Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, with truly the best views in Umbria, overlooks the Tiber valley with a panorama stretching as far away to the Apennines in the distance some 80km away. Located conveniently between the world-Renowned cities of Florence, Assisi & Perugia, It is on the cusp between Tuscany and Umbria So that Culture and art surround you. Monte Santa Maria Tiberina itself is a quiet jewel of a village and boasts a rich history amidst its stone arches and cobbled lanes with its own Bourbon castle and exquisite church.

Conveniently served by its own established, beautiful, terraced restaurant, the family owners are through and through true ‘Montesquians’ boasting authentic dishes the area is famous for.

Lovingly and carefully restored by dynamic due Robbie Spina and Joe Zito, this former palace has recaptured its magnificent and elegant character with all modern amenities, luxurious bathrooms, kitchens and fine bed linen.

With private road access to the lower garden entrance of the house via a small road.
Alternative village entrance leads directly into small square and heart of the village. This street access is from a stone cobbled courtyard directly into the lobby on (3rd floor).
