Il Castelletto is a private, 170 square metre, villa located in the heart of eastern Tuscany. It is situated on 6 hectares (15 acres) and offers superb views of the surrounding mountains (Alpe de la Luna) and lake (Lago di Montedoglio).

There are numerous (Michelin-rated) restaurants within a 15 minute drive of the villa offering some of the best of Tuscan cuisine at local prices.

The villa offers spacious, comfortable and tastefully appointed rooms. Entrance is into main floor which includes the Kitchen and Great Room with dining area. The Great Room boasts an authentic carved-stone wood burning fireplace, comfortable seating and an entertainment centre. French Doors provide a spectacular view of Lago di Montedoglio and the Apennines. Double doors provide access to the upper terrace where you can dine outdoors or sit comfortably while enjoying fantastic views of the lake and countryside.

The modern well appointed kitchen is fitted with dishwasher, oven, hood and fridge/freezer.

The 5 x 10m private pool and stone deck are situated on the lower terrace and are ideally positioned to capture the sun's rays, provide complete privacy and unspoiled views of the surrounding countryside. Sun loungers and outdoor furniture are provided. The lower Bedroom, including Bath, is directly accessible from the Pool.

The villa has 3 bedrooms each with queen beds, and wardrobes.

There is a main bathroom with tub and shower as well as a master ensuite, located off of the lower bedroom.

Things to Do:

Visit Sansepolcro (10 minutes) with its local and international shopping, museums and restaurants.

Spend an afternoon in Anghiari (20 minutes), voted the most beautiful hillside town in Italy.

Visit Caprese Michelangelo (20 minutes), the birthplace of the world's most renowned artist. View his home and the church where he was baptised (both open to the public).

Monterchi (20 minutes), is the Tuscan town famous for Piero della Francescas Madonna del Parto, and an important stop on the Piero della Francesco trail.

Just 35 minutes away is Arezzo, the county seat, where 'Life is Beautiful' was filmed and home of the largest antique market in the country (the first weekend of every month.)

The villa is centrally positioned for those who want to venture further a field. Florence, Pisa, Rimini, Sienna and Assisi are all potential day trips away. Even Rome is only a 3 hour drive but we prefer to take the train from Arezzo.
